my therapist told me to use the STOP methods. Stop thinking Take a deep breath Observe how you are feeling and Proceed mindfully. It really takes some time, and i thought that’s dumb asf when she told me, but it’s been working so well for me

it doesn’t completely stop the thoughts, but it helps me be more aware of my surroundings and that I am safe
