i once had a guy ask me in front of his preteen CHILDREN (i am 20) if i would like his phone number. dont be like that guy (dont ASK), but leaving your number is fun and always flattering

I would leave yours and WALK OUT! That way the person can choose to contact you or not later.

thats weird. ugh. for context im 21 i had this waitress last night who was super sweet even wrote thank you! on our receipt but i didnt do anything about it because i didnt wanna be out of place. so youd say its smarter to write my # on the receipt instead of asking for hers if i ever get her as a server again?

Sometimes I just write thank you on the receipt if I liked the table. It gives a nice personal touch and can help show gratitude

Well yes, but I also agree with the other comments here. Leave yours on the receipt and let her have that choice without putting anyone in awkward situations where they feel pressured into anything

if you get her again, you should write a short note on her reciept if you want to put your phone number!! depending on both of your vibes its always nice to say something about her personality first rather than looks if u do write something. like call her sweet or kind or something. i would eat this up
