I tried getting off medication, lived a very active lifestyle with lots of friends and joy. But at the end of the day, I have a chemical imbalance in my head that makes it so I can’t ever self-impose regulation. With my meds+lifestyle I’m the best I’ve ever been

it’s different for everyone, some people can’t make improvement even WITH medication and may require electroconvulsive therapy
but yes, many cases of depression can be treated without medication

Those things cannot cute depression, but they do help at least a bit
