"Its fine to" no you SHOULD if you work the (roughly) same amount of hours then you should contribute equally financially (proportionate to your income) you should do chores equally, theres zero reason for someone to be doing more of something than their partner

Unless the type of work differs. 8 hours of construction work is definitely not the same as 8 hours of desk work. Whoever has the less physically demanding job should try and help more with the chores imo

That is a differential in work and therefore not equal so yes obviously other contributions should be appropriately balanced to counter that
