Redlining. Just cause “rights” exist on paper doesn’t mean it shows in any way, shape or form in reality. Congrats you can say mean stuff about the president but your access to a quality childhood education is stunted due to property values in your neighborhood being lower since it was designated as “dangerous” 100 years ago by surveyors solely because it was inhabited by minorities. Good stuff. And forget about access to healthcare, quality food, clean air, etc… thanks redlining

Compared to other countries pretty much yeah, nobody with a developed economy is comparable in racial equality. Doesn’t mean that it’s perfect though

like by a sweepingly large margin n you don’t need a poll to see that lol

We need to stop the special treatment of skin color and race and start treating each other equally. That doesn’t mean minorities get benefits, it means everyone gets put on the same level.

Canada, Sweden, Norway, Germany, New Zealand, etc… all show better outcomes for minority populations. Critique also doesn’t require a perfect alternative.

Those European countries have much stricter immigration laws than the USA how are they better if they are more selective

Because they show better outcomes for minority populations. Now this is the part where everything becomes a moving target and you just pivot to every other fucking thing ever to inevitably shut down the discussion instead of learning anything at all

Then why aren’t most immigrants choosing those countries over the USA?

If high immigration proves a country is better for minorities then the UAE or Saudi Arabia must certainly be better than the US, right?

~88% of the population of the UAE is foreign born. 38.3% in Saudi Arabia. What the fuck are you talking about

USA has 52 million, Saudi Arabia has 13.7 million, 10 for uae, USA has the largest population

The immigrants coming to the USA aren’t looking for welfare program or government handouts, they’re not even eligible for them! They’re looking for freedom and opportunity

Freedom from what? Freedom to do what? Opportunity can exist alongside deep inequality. And what about the ones that leave because of US backed coups destroying their homeland? That’s a fucking massive amount of them

If the USA is destroying their home country then why aren’t they blaming them for it, instead they choose to immigrate to the country that’s supposed to be their enemy

People go where they can survive. Blaming the US and needing a job here aren’t opposites. Both can be true at the same time and this weird loyalty test mentality is painfully naive

The only places that are comparable are Canada Australia and some LatAm countries but a lot of them still have a lot more social descrimination. As much as people want to believe European countries have good racial equality them still lack the high level legal protections we have gained over the years.

I’ll add that the question says “nonwhites” but I interpret this as “racial minorities” because it’s kinda a nonsense question that wouldn’t even be worth asking, obviously nonwhite people have a lot of freedom in many countries where they are the ruling class like, Japan, but they often don’t make room for other nonwhite people.

For everyone to end up at the same level minorities need to receive benefits bc they are still experiencing repercussions of decades past disenfranchisement on a federal level, hope this helps
