I have had success on hinge! (28f) I met my ex boyfriend on hinge. We dated for a little over a year before breaking up amicably. Then after a little ‘me time’😇✨I went back to hinge. The first date I went on was with my current boyfriend. ❤️ We have been dating for three years and are talking about marriage. 🥰

I’ve never used apps, but have had 2 relationships last 2+ years (one of which is ongoing!), and had 2 hookups between em. So like, it’s possible, but there’s def gonna be nights where you have little to no outlet for sexual energy. I think I came to terms with those evenings when I was single, but it can be tough. That’s not to say there’s anything wrong with using dating apps tho!!

Be protective of your energy. Dating apps can be very draining. Use them sparingly, and only when you have the time and energy.

I did the same thing both times I’ve used them. If you’re looking for advice, I’d say it’s completely fine to close the app and take a break, even for a month. Just don’t delete it. My friends helped me rationalize that if I want a partner and dating apps are the most practical way to meet one, then using them is a necessary evil.

Ignore those people, obviously, but your profile can help weed out people too. If something is important to you, you can put it in your profile and your matching potential will decrease naturally. On the other hand, if you want to increase your chances of matching, keep your profile more neutral. That opens the door to chatting with more people. Just remember: the only thing you owe anyone is honest and respectful communication. If you’re not feeling a connection, say so.
