If by AI you mean LLMs yeah I use it, I work with it, work on it, etc. However most people either overrate it or underrate it

I don’t think it’s something we should look down on because it is pretty cool technology that we have at our fingertips and I think AI can do a lot but that doesn’t mean we should just let it do everything in today’s world. I don’t like seeing AI used for TikTok trends or creating art that could be created by an artist or cheating for school, but I do like it for using it to find information. Learn about a topic more creating storyboards help give you ideas and stuff like that.

I mostly use AI to look stuff up for customers in the quick at the moment about plants or chemical bottles and what’s in them because sometimes I just don’t know and AI gives me a good quick info that I can just let the people know

Yeah, it’s cool technology, but it’s not cool enough for me to ignore the social and environmental impact. And I’ll admit that a large of part of my feelings on it come from being jaded about how many of my classmates brag about plagiarizing with ai

Tbh I instantly lose a significant respect for people who use ai (occasional exceptions ofc). Like what do you mean you are either too lazy or too stupid (because those are the only two excuses in my mind) to look up a simple fact/recipe/calculation or write out one paragraph using your own brain?!? (The horrible environment impact is just the extra cherry on top for me lol)

i agree for using it for school is dumb. i think for other times makes sense. cause why not use it while its there if it will help. but also a google search uses ai so its inevitable at this point
