My parents were as strict as can be. No unsupervised computer usage and I still found a way. Kindle, Nintendo DSi, whatever. I don’t think that was their fault

I think overly strict parenting is just as bad as overly lax. Like, if you can’t have an honest conversation with your parents about what you might see instead of just “don’t do that” than you don’t know how to actually protect yourself

Adding on but it also makes it even more enticing because you already feel so restricted that you can go overboard in the opposite direction or even just curious as to why it’s so heavily restricted so you search it out to see what’s so bad abt it
