Asking bc I feel like every tv show has someone cheat but their partner doesn’t break up with them bc they say sorry, when no one I know irl would stay with that person

i’d be mad for like a week but probably wouldn’t break up with him. i don’t even think it would change our relationship going forward.

I'd talk to them about it first, I'd obviously be hurt but we can still have a discussion about it, if I really love them I'm not just gonna instantly break up

A friend of mine got cheated on. When he confronted her about it, she got upset and left and he begged her to come back. Some people don't think they can do better, some people think cheaters change, some people get cheated on and take the blame, there are lots of reasons why people stay and all of them are wrong.

Would that not make it hurt more? I would never be able to forgive my wife if she cheated after like 10 years of marriage and multiple kids.
