i agree with #4 and #5- it’s a statistical concept that you can’t really see correlation without having a control to compare to… so i say we make another poll asking those who said yes or we make another poll about the demographics of this forum as a whole 🤷‍♀️

This is a stupid thing to ask. The demographics of this app are not even. Obviously there are gonna be more white people voting in either direction.

Proof people will find any excuse to hate on someone successful

The majority of America is white. That’s a 7:11 poc to white ratio which adds up since around 60% of America is white

I mean look at the percentages. Currently 58% voted white. It looks uneven because the other options are subcategories

It’s the fact that most white people are the ones saying it’s not racist

Maybe you should make another poll asking the general poll users this exact race question without having it connected to the commercial. It’s probably similar proportions. Besides, as of right now, 28 people skipped voting. Do you think every one of them is a poc? Or do you think the proportions are similar to the poll results?

Those who skipped voting probably didn’t vote no, which is why they skipped. I could make another poll asking the race of those who voted yes, but I didn’t make a general poll because I wanted to see the demographic of the people who voted no.

That’s a problem in drawing data. Scientists use a control group (asking what everybody’s race is) before an experimental group (asking what people’s race is of the people who voted no). You’re assuming this poll accurately describes the proportions of people in this group. Does that make sense? I’m no instructor, so I don’t know if I explained that clearly

I’m not worried about the demographics of this app, just those who voted no. You thinking this is “stupid” tells me everything I need to know

in any poll if your population is 99 white ppl and 1 poc then you’re going to have the majority of those who said no to be white ppl unless none of the 99 said no

Why not ask the demographics of those that voted yes? They would be almost identical, because they would also be the same as the demographics of this app as a whole. You know absolutely nothing about data collection.

I literally commented that I could also make a poll for the yes voters to see the difference

Do it then. Or would that ruin your little racebait attempt?
