At a point in school I’d say my sophomore/junior year, I realized I just. Didn’t have to. Like there were zero repercussions. So when it went over the PA I would just stay sitting down LMFAO eventually a few girls near me stopped standing too and we’d get a nasty look from the teacher but whatever , fuck da pledge

I think that remaining as a bystander during the current administration, when it is explicitly stated in the DoI “That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness” may be breaking the pledge to the flag
