I don’t particularly believe in a soul but I assume “expires when my body expires” represents that concept

I said I don’t know because I don’t have any real proof or any of it. Heaven to me sounds like a promise a parent made to a dying child so they wouldn’t be so fearful. “And when you wake up, you’ll be in a paradise. And you’ll feel no more pain. Your family will be there so you don’t have to be scared. It’ll be everything you ever wanted and there’s no evil there. You’ll have everything you ever wanted and you’ll never want anything at the same time. You’ll never feel any pain for ever and ever”

I believe that I’ll see everyone I love again someday because I can’t bear to think otherwise

Our soul either goes to be with God or stays here

I wish it were true. I don’t think I’ll ever get to go there if it was…. Anyways. If that’s not true, then I don’t think the other theories are either. But I don’t know anything. None of us do. Only the dead know for sure.

It sounds childish because that’s the cultural understanding of Heaven, not the theological one. Heaven as described in the Bible is the Kingdom of God where the Saints will live in unity with God after judgement day. We don’t know a whole lot else, tbh

Stuff like this isn’t based on Christian theology or scripture

Either way neither version sounds appealing. I don’t want to go to heaven when I die, I just want to be dead lol

Well sure it wouldn’t be appealing if you’re not Christian
