When I get my refund check, should I upgrade my laptop for better performance and versatility? Battery doesn’t last long on this one and I want to upgrade for school/gaming/writing/Adobe/etc. The one I’m looking at is ~$799

Current laptop: 8gb RAM, i5-10300, CPU 2.50GHz 4 core, 512gb SSD, GeForce 1650 no RTX “New” laptop: 16gb RAM, AMD 6 core Ryzen 7, CPU up to 4.7GHz, 512 SSD, GeForce RTX 4050 I use my current laptop almost daily but don’t game on it bc the battery life sucks and specs aren’t really good enough for the games I want to play.

Okay yeah, depending on what ram the 16gb is, if it’s ddr5 def worth, and what exactly cpu is it? Should be like ryzen 7 7(and whatever 3 digits go here)

imo you should decide between getting a pc and a nongaming high efficiency high battery laptop, you cant have the best of both worlds as gaming laptops will always have terrible batteries
