Read Domenico Losurdo’s “A brief history of liberalism”, since its inception liberal democracy has always been about protecting white westerners and their “right” to exploit others. Also recommend Wretched of the Earth and Discourse on Colonialism!

When people talk about liberal democracy, I just think of Amsterdam. That place is super chill. Anyways I think they have been suspending people’s rights in Israel which seems against liberalism, but maybe I misunderstood what it is. Sometimes the meanings change over time.

Netherlands’ biggest companies are oil, banking, semiconductor conglomerates. They literally stay rich by selling other peoples resources. Semiconductors are mined by child slaves in Africa. The colonized countries were forced to be in debt to the Europeans after colonialism “ended”. The West keeps the Global South in debt traps that keep them poor and as giant sweatshops
