Honestly I get the sense that republican politicians don’t take trump seriously at all (even his current administration, you can find interviews of them expressing disapproval from before 2016) and MAGA is generally a lot more aggressively right wing than republicans were a few decades ago - Trump’s administration makes Bush look like a moderate
It’s a good question. Im a moderate republican, but i lean a little more centrist. (It’s harder to get behind what Mr. Trump has been doing as of late with foreign involvements and the Epstein files.) but the core tenets for me are still there. I believe in the strength of the nuclear family, the obligation that our nation (should) have to serve its people, Americans first, and the strict stance we need to adopt on immigration, as it shouldn’t be a burden, otherwise dont do it.
I support ICE’s mission all the way up until the Pretti incident. That was a bad bad shoot. They had enough physical control over him to be able to take him into custody, as well has having removed his weapon. The Renee good thing? Thats a bit of a gray area. The reason you see more of these incidents is straight up non-cooperation between cities and ice, leading to ICE having to do things by themselves in the open. During Obama, ICE had full cooperation from every so called sanctuary city, and
As a result, it lead to his administration being able to deport the most amount of individuals ever, and since jails, city mayors, local PD’s, and more cooperated with ICE, ICE hardly had to serve collections on people in public, the cities just gave them names of Illegal aliens, and Local PD or ICE would just do their thing. Now that ice has to fend for itself without the support it used to have, You see citizens getting in the way of operations that dont concern them, and it impedes Everyone.
