anyone who refers to themselves as a critical thinker is either 1. the dumbest person u have ever met or 2. VERY VERY smart but INSANELY cocky

You can reach that point by being either smart and self aware or dumb and deluded

Im not sure I’ve ever heard someone refer to themselves as a critical thinker, although “use your critical thinking skills” seems somewhat common

It definitely does, smart people are often more susceptible to bias blind spot. Especially if they know they’re smart they will overestimate the degree to which they think critically.
