Damn y’all don’t see cameras pop up on every corner and wonder why?

The fact that 200 of you don’t know what they are is concerning

They just went up at the local home depot retail plaza

They need to be destroyed at all costs. If I had it my way, every single large investor and exec participating in building this new corporate surveillance state would be lined up and, well, you get the picture.

I learned something new today and lost a little more hope for the future

Flock Safety is a company that installs cameras on roadways that monitor and track all movement that pass by them. These cameras scan license plates and faces, compiling them into a database whose access is sold to law enforcement. There is no opt-out, and their network is vast and constantly growing.

Op should have included a photo. Once you know what they look like, you start seeing them everywhere.

Well I live far from where these exist so I guess I just don’t care

“It hasn’t happened to me yet so it will never happen to me” has always been sound logic with zero flaws. And do you really know for sure that they don’t exist where you are? I’d check deflock.org

I’m from the middle of nowhere, I could give a fuck how bigger cities destroy themselves

It’s genuinely fascinating to see the thought processes of the bottom 10%. I’m amazed that there are people without the ability to perceive the concept of a future.

Nah, it’s a lot nicer the father away you are from fraud and crime. Along with having 1000s of acres of private land, lakes, and ponds. I don’t care what future these shit hole cities have to offer

You keep talking about cities. Why do you think this is limited to cities?

Because no small town is installing these

It took me about 45 seconds on the map to find one in North Loup, Nebraska, a town with a population of 245.

Think it’s a fluke? There’s one up the road in Orchard, Nebraska, a town with a staggering population of 379. Think it’s only a Nebraska problem? There’s one north of Malad Summit in Idaho in an area not even part of a census-designated town. Flock has only been in operation since 2017. Sometimes they don’t even notify towns when they put up their cameras; they often don’t get approval. You honestly think that you’re 100% guaranteed safe? Give me a break.

Yes, I promise you there will not be one near me as it would be on somebody’s property and immediately taken down

Yeahhhh no they’re put up on the strip of government-owned land next to the road, or attached to municipal telephone poles.
