A thimble sized amount of brain matter is probably not enough to have a consciousness so I'm not too worried about it. They're just using it for goopy wetware processing power

I know this sounds scary but remember that neurons really just transmit electrical signals based on ion fluctuation. Memories, dreams, imagination are all just repeated electrical signals from specialized regions of the brain. Neurons on a circuit board is basically just trainable wires. Until that circuit board gets a hippocampus and a frontal lobe or something, it’s not that bad lol
