Unmarried with no kids makes for a very depressing latter half of your life. Literally nothing to live for other than to go to work. You would have no purpose. Then you retire and what? Sit around all day alone, with no visitors, until you die?

I mean, many people feel the exact opposite way. Your only goal in life is assisting another human in becoming like you, and you don’t want to accomplish anything yourself? You’re going to give up the money and time you could spend on so many other things? You’re going to risk the pain of losing them? Then once they move out, you’re going to retire on just barely enough money to survive? Kinda depressing. No hate, but what’s the point of the poll if you think there’s a correct answer?

Yeah, that is an absolutely pathetic mindset to have. You don’t want kids because they cost money and you might lose them? If you think your only purpose in life is your job, then I guess that makes sense, but that is an incredibly sad way to look at life. Also the point of the poll is to see what people pick, like with every other poll ever. Not sure why you would even ask that.

Also raising a family and building a future for your descendants is, and has been for all of human history, the pinnacle of “accomplishing something yourself”
