No, but the way he died, and the reason for his death, is why it’s a big deal. Someone disagreed with him and said “I should kill him bc I disagree.” THAT is why his death is garnering more attention. Use common sense here, guys. That doesn’t make it more important, per se, but there’s something clearly wrong when people are dying bc someone disagrees with them. Stop looking for echo chambers and start critically thinking.
I agree that what happened to him was wrong, but at the same time that doesn’t make school shootings any less important. Mass shootings have been going on for so much longer than these relatively recent acts of political violence, yet nothing has been done. But when a prominent figure gets killed, all of a sudden it’s such a horrible thing that gets all this coverage, as if the deaths of regular citizens isn’t just as important of an issue.
