Which is etymologically inaccurate. "κολῷρος (kolôros) in Ancient Greek referred to something “maimed”. In legitimate Greek derivations, κωμῳδός (kōmōidos, “comic actor”) or γελωτοποιός (gelōtopoios, “jester”) would be the accurate bases for compounds referring to clowns"
