Id say the 99c option is worth it, above that is excessive, you can offload pics/vids very easily to other storage (and should!)

I’d say it’s super worth, also make sure you’re having regular iCloud backups, it saved my ass last week when my old phone got water intrusion and couldn’t be fixed.

I prefer physical storage and backups personally, I like to have explicit control over my own files, but cloud is better than nothing.

It’s only worth it if you have more than one apple device, I have an iPhone and iPad and I like to take/use photos on both so having an abundance of cloud storage is convenient

I pay for the 2.99 one because I use my phone, iPad, MacBook, & Apple Watch, so across those 3 I use a LOT of storage and need the backup, it’s worth it

Digitally? Google drive is free holds a crazy amount and you can make infinite accounts for infinite drives. I imagine anyone paying for apple cloud storage isnt too worried abt security anyways. $3 isnt much but for some people that $3 could go a long way somewhere more important

Google drive is only free for 15 gb. That isn’t free. That’s actually pretty small. They’re about the same as Apple once that deal expires. And I’m not looking through 20 google accounts when I want to find a photo. Everything in one place.

My google drives hold way more than 15gb and has nothing to do with their ai upgrade lol I have one account for friends and family photos/vids, one for concerts+events, and one for my artistic projects (photography, music, long performance recordings etc) its incredibly organized and easy for me and none are even close to full. It wont work for everyone but for people in a pinch that dont want to spend money to store stuff it works and is very easy to do

Google drive used to be 400gb free for everyone I dont have a special deal and I dont pay google any money only thing I can think of is that my accs were over the 15gb when they made the change 🤷‍♀️ either way free storage is free storage, as I said it wont work for everyone but for some people that couple bucks could be all the difference I was just suggesting an option, theres plenty of others if my suggestion isnt for you

I honestly trust Apple way more than google also it’s the seamless integration that makes it worth not just the storage. I have more than enough room on my phone and laptop if pure data storage is all I cared about
