The ONLY times I’ll use a spoon is for cereal and ice cream which I rarely have. I’ll happily take chili and soup with a fork

I use a spoon for ice cream and tea, that's pretty much all. Sometimes rice but I can usually use a fork since it clumps. Unless you're one of the few people who considers soup to be actual food, a fork gives you way more value.

This!! So all these people mean to tell me that if they could only ever have a spoon or a fork for the rest of their lives they’d pick a FORK

Although to be fair, Bowl is Spoon, so if I was picking one for the rest of my life, I would probably choose Fork. But Spoon is generally superior

For me the spoon is way more universal

It’s way easier to eat ice cream with a fork than it is to eat steak with a spoon.

Soup with a fork? Like just the chunks or the whole thing?

I hate really soupy soups like tomato soup and potato soup so I never eat those because I don’t like drinking warm liquified food items, it just grosses me out. But with things like chicken noodle soup, beef stroganoff, etc I’ll just eat the chunks using a fork and have minimal broth

Potato soup is usually pretty thick and chunky

My families was never homemade, just made from this packet with the tiniest of “chunks” in it :/
