It’s bad. Environmentally idiotic. And has made people stupid and lacking of both soft and hard skills that are necessary for basic life and societal stability. Ai is not a search engine, it’s an echo chamber that tells you what it thinks you want to hear.

I genuinely cannot comprehend why anyone uses it, and people who use it should be publicly shamed, you deserve to feel enormous embarrassment if you're throwing your ability to think away to a mindless machine that can barely actually do anything right

I think the witch hunt against AI is overblown, especially considering AI has existed in the mainstream for WAY longer than most people realize (Siri, website chatbots, facial recognition). Modern AI genuinely has utility when you have a complex question that google cannot easily find an answer to. However using ChatGPT for basic things has let people become MINDLESS. And the ai art is ass too
