Yes but there is a difference in believing in small changes over time and believing that humans came from bacteria and fish.

I feel like most people don’t see that as a stretch, with hundreds of millions of years to work with those really small changes. Would you agree that at least all mammals probably share an ancestor? Just mammals seems easier to just point at bone structure. Or do you mean something more like “all the species were created separately but are evolving back and forth”

I do not believe that all animals, nor all mammals, came from a single ancestor, no. I believe that many of them share an ancestor, but I do not believe that humans, and (for example) bats, or whales, came from the same thing.

If I may ask, why? There’s an incredible amount of evidence for it, both practical and fossilized. We share so much DNA with other living things, it would be more unbelievable to say that we have no relation

If a bunch of small changes happen over a period of time, what do you think happens over a really long period of time? Probably really big changes wouldn’t you think?
