imo we shouldn't let people getting away with calling themselves "pro-life." they're not pro-life, they're anti-choice, anti-bodily autonomy, anti-women not saying you suck for putting pro-life, OP, it's just something I think about. allowing them to use their preferred branding, so to speak, has made their propaganda so much more effective and it makes me mad

I'm not a fan on abortion and think it should be an absolute last resort, but i believe people should definitely have the choice on whether they get one or not.

I used to be pro life except when it hurt the mother or grape but now ideally I would still be prolife with these reasons if America had better incentives like assistance programs, monetary incentives for the mother, and accessible healthcare. But the way things are now I don’t think it’s feasible

Fair enough, it’s basic health care imo. It’s bigger than just a morality issue it’s a right. Often times it’s life or death too so to say life is so precious but also women should die before having an abortion is wild to me

Yea that’s a good point “pro life” puts a certain spin on things that makes it just seem inherently correct and more humane when it’s actually the opposite

Everyone has bodily autonomy. You have the choice to close your fucking legs or use a condom.

It’s always life or death for the baby. Why should you be allowed to choose death?

You don’t always have that choice, unfortunately…

Why should you not be able to choose life for yourself?

If it’s inherently more correct to name a political conviction after its criticisms than the name its proponents gave it, then you also shouldn’t let pro-choice people “get away with” calling it pro-choice. Do you really like “anti-choice vs pro-infanticide” better than “pro-choice vs pro life”? Even if you think this is a special case because of how firmly you believe you’re right, that… really doesn’t distinguish it from any other issue. That’s how all disagreements on anything work
