The algorithm is based on what you like and how long you interact with a post - if you don’t like or interact with those posts whatsoever, you’re fine

I had to make a conscious effort to get stuff like this off my feed and it still shows up sometimes. I have heard other people say they have the same issue. Tiktok and yt shorts don't seem to have this problem for the most part so I think it's specific to instagram
