I dont care how well trained you think your dog is, its inconsiderate to bring it to a business (especially one with exposed food like a grocery store) if they arent a genuine service animal (and no emotional support animals are not the same as service animals), there is no need for it and they will be fine at home for a couple hours while you run your errands

Absolutely not. What about all the things that are out in the open like fruits and veggies and such. Definitely not ok

They don’t, especially when people let them ride in carts 😤

I don’t really care as long as the animal isn’t defecating inside or running amok.

Anyone who said no has never been to a progressive city where animals are well trained and taken care of.

Literally this, I shouldnt need to carry allergy meds in my bag daily because people are bringing their animals to businesses simply because they feel like it 😭

You know therapy dogs exist right because it’s not like those ones give you any less allergies than regular dogs. Also, I don’t want to downplay your allergies but that’s just a part of life. Everyday I step outside, I start sneezing but that doesn’t stop me from enjoying the great outdoors.

I get that there are many places that shouldn’t have dogs, but I do think there should be dog friendly communities in the us where you are allowed to take them inside just about anywhere. They are meant to be around their owners. People who don’t like dogs can simply avoid dog friendly areas.

Im never going to be mad at getting a sniffle over a service animal! (And lets note that emotional support/therapy animals are NOT service animals), dog friendly places and communities are awesome! Even then there are places that animals just shouldnt be and businesses with exposed food (or food in general) are an example of that. If your pet is not stable enough to be at home for an hour while you hit the grocery store then you have a larger problem at hand as an owner
