You purchase where you’ll be, so that’s on you. If it’s general admission that’s still on you because of how early you get in line. As a short person it would be unfair to have taller people behind us just because they’re tall. Whether you’re short or tall you should be considerate of others behind you though like no riding shoulders or holding up signs

I think it’s unfair but there’s nothing really to be done about it bc people can’t control how tall they are so short ppl just have to deal (I’m short lol)

are those two things not the same as someone being taller and just blocking the view ?

people can’t help that they’re tall. if you don’t want to risk being stuck behind someone tall purchase better placement, or don’t go.

like if everyone paid for the same ticket (GA) and the view is getting blocked either way

Then you should probably get in line hours prior to avoid being in the back

so can that not be said for the ppl who also got the same ticket and choose to bring posters or get on someone’s neck bc they can’t see?

Posters and shoulder riding is something you CAN control and it’s about concert etiquette. People can’t control their height.

so if they did get in line hours before, and still can’t see they’re just shit outta luck in opinion? about the shoulders

in general admission even as a short person with tall people in front it’s not impossible to see you just have to keep moving side to side the right away to see through gaps. If you’re a concert goer and you’re short that’s just what you’ll have to do. if you’re there earlier the better luck you have seeing even with people infront. sitting on shoulders screws anyone behind it, including tall people and it’s unsafe in general admission with a packed crowd

so it’s fucked up when shorter ppl try to enjoy the show to the best of their abilities (not having to constantly find a view) but not when taller ppl are blocking the front/ that view?

i mean take a look at the votes on this poll. I’m a short person and still voted no. If you really like the artist you’ll enjoy the show no matter what, if you’re really that worried make arrangements to get there extra early. It’s part of going to a concert you deal with a lot of crap that seems unfair, but at the end of the day nobody can control their height… so you either make do or don’t go

these polls aren’t representative of the entire concert goer population but i do think it’s kinda funny to say ppl can’t control their height but then say short ppl can’t make do bc they’ll block the view but tall ppl are valid still blocking the view when they don’t have to be in the front to see

i agree it’s silly, but tall people shouldn’t have to accommodate to short people, just like in other cases short people shouldn’t have to accommodate to taller people

ok i am back how would a short person ever accommodate a tall person at a concert

and i was more so saying it’s funny in a hypocritical kind of way tbh

I said in other cases, not specifically a concert. for example if you were in a movie theatre and the side seats did not have other seats infront of them, a tall person might prefer those seats because they can stretch their legs, and a short person might be expected to give up that seat for them

i’m going to be honest i can’t picture what ur talking about all the theaters i’ve been to have the same uniform seats with the disabled seats at the front

That’s okay, a lot of theatres are different

well. for my closing argument it’s hypocritical to say short ppl can’t see to the best of their abilities (shoulders) but tall ppl are valid even tho both result in blocking the view. and if someone wants a poster i personally don’t see why but if we all paid for the tickets and got in line hours prior like u said then oh well
