If a same-gender couple goes on a first date (assuming similar incomes, but one person is more traditionally masculine/feminine presenting than the other person) who should pay?
Personally I think it should always be who asked the other out, or else split if they agree on that

And if one person wants to pay for the other as like a cute gesture than sure but it’s not an expectation of either party and either party is able to make that gesture regardless of whether they’re masculine or feminine
