Yeah, not rich but where I live it’s enough for a decent lakeside house, they take multiple trips most years often out of country, lots of random stuff, wayyy too much on food esp with a 6’4” growing 15 year old brother.. I do wish they would save more but still

I quite literally described how they live comfortably. My dad bought me a Hermès blanket for Christmas last year. Where I live at least and how they bought this house in a great market, they are comfortable

It’s not like they went in debt for it and they have the spare money and like buying an expensive thing for me and themselves every so often that they will use forever than lots of cheap junk. I did make him return it bc it didn’t match my color scheme I’m going for and for that price I feel like it’s a waste unless it’s perfect

My education was paid for. I went to a good state school with 5k tuition. My grandma and grandpa paid for most of it, my parents paid for the rest, and I paid for one semester

Yeah bc that’s what I wanted and it’s not like I would have been accepted at an ivy anyways. It’s a good state school in the top 50 schools in the country. Looked it up again and it’s 6k my bad

well my dad is disabled, accident that happened when he was around 12, and my mom did work for the state but lost her job during covid, so its just me working my minimum wage job atm 😅

could be better but im trying. I get up every day. The state of the world is a constant lingering stress but I get to see my cat everyday. Im just thankful we have food on the table and a warm bed to sleep in. I find that you get far with kindness and looking on the bright side and stuff.

Nah the middle class is what gets messed up. Imagine one family who makes a certain amount gets a full ride scholarship. Another’s family makes 1k more has to pay for the entire thing
