Not a jewish person but relaying the opinion of my jewish friend who Ive had this conversation with; they dont care at all unless the word is obviously being used in a derogatory way, similar to what you mentioned with blacks vs black people (im black), it isnt a problem if its not done with malice

it’s like the whole blacks vs people of color ordeal. the only ones who care are whites that wanna police other whites’ speech and feel superior

No I’ve heard plenty of black people say it’s a big red flag for them to hear white people call them blacks as opposed to black people. Poc is another thing though

it used to not be a deal, relatively new phenomenon to get so worked up over those semantics. the jewish peoples are jews and until my rabbi or someone starts spurting on about we shouldn’t be called jews anymore them i don’t mind at all
