You’d probably have a better chance at finding out why if you look in digital places nowadays. I’d guess writing a paper note is likely less common than writing in the notes app for teenagers right now

Neither tbh, id upkeep the room as if theyre still there as long as I need for my personal grieving and then when Ive healed Ill move small parts of them around common spaces in the house so the room can be repurposed

Logically I don’t know how I would react to that level of grief but I’m a very sentimental and I think it’s more likely I would keep their room how they had it
