I mean how particular stations deal with employees isn’t actually a question of free speech. Private companies can respond in whatever way they like to their employees speech.

this republican congressman (the same one who threatened violence against BLM protestors in 2020 and tweeted a meme in response to the assault of paul pelosi in 2022) just posted a tweet saying he planned to use his congressional authority to punish social media users for protected speech

at the end of the day, ppl should be able to say whatever the hell they want. MSNBC firing that guy is what Kirk himself would have disagreed with.

Correct. I’m not talking about the companies. I’m talking about the selective outrage over free speech. They get mad at Dems for free speech they disagree with, but don’t have the same energy for republicans who say those same things

CNN and MSNBC are both left wing companies. The fact that FOX news allowed their hosts to criticize without being fired literally proves that we’re pro free speech.
