it kinda depends what else the union does if it’s just “oh everyone’s in it and it makes it more likely you get paid more” that doesn’t seem worth, especially if I talk to other people and already have an offer if they actively help with promotions and raises and stuff, and I can actually talk to the people who run it, then sure
