California’s political climate is the worst in the US, as much as I’d love to live in SoCal bc of how pretty it is. The west coast is a nightmare in general tho Also, the Pacific is sooo cold

You skipped Vancouver and NorCal. Only two places I’d go to. As a lifelong Alaskan

Having lived in both I'd say californias political climate is a completely different demon than Washington's lol. Also yeah it is freezing. Idk what warm ocean water feels like. It's hard to imagine, I've only swim in the Pacific

Oh fs on the political climate b/t states Warm ocean water can be really nice bc it’s not FREEZING cold. It’s cool in early summer, but you get used to it quickly. It’s really nice on a hot day

Me too! Born in Portland, grew up in northern washington and now live in Cali. Tennessee seems pretty in its own way

I’ve lived in the South my whole life. Trust me. When California starts restricting what parents can do with their own children like they’re some kind of property, it’s time to get out… We are going too far in each direction as a counter to each political side. It’s ridiculous. Aside from the political climate, the wildfires are so bad I’d be afraid of losing everything I’ve ever owned

Hi, could you elaborate what you mean by California “restricting what parents can do with their own children”

https://hslda.org/post/despite-amendments-ab-495-still-risks-parental-rights Just one example. The idea is to make it harder for parents to have a say in their children’s lives for the sake of “protecting” kids when the entire argument is just a bad excuse for government surveillance
