Do you lock your door every night? I don’t mean your bedroom door but like the main door to your apartment/house

That's like BARE MINIMUM security and safety. If you dont do that you're naive and stupid honestly.

If I wake up in the morning and realize I forgot I’m horrified

I do but my roommates literally dgaf. Whenever there’s a point where we all go home for the holidays I check all the windows and almost all of them that I’m not in control of are just unlocked. It’s insane to me how they can be so naive.

I do because it takes 0 effort, but I don’t think it’s doing anything to keep me safer. I don’t live in a place where anyone would just randomly try my door handle, and if someone wanted to get in, it would only take a rock to do it anyway.

I agree! Literally my whole life I’ve gone around the house checking the every single door was locked before going to bed my parents would even tease me for it but I’m not taking any chances. It always shocks me when I hear people talk about not locking their doors so I was curious what the answers would be on here

The house is sort of in the middle of nowhere and between me and all my roommates there’s pretty much always at least 1 person home and awake. No real need to lock it and it just saves the hassle of having to use keys, especially when we invite friends over.

Bruh look up the Idaho murders and say that again. You’re being extremely naive.

Anybody that wants to come in and find out what’ll happen is welcome to. The doors have been unlocked for years.

If someone legitimately wants to commit random murder, a lock is not going to stop them

But why make it easier for them

I’d rather clean up some blood than clean up some blood and also have to repair a doorframe.
