Pure evil? Y’all are so moronic. How do you expect them to recoup their money? Just like any business they spend money inventing something, then they patent it so they can recoup their money, and invent new things. Calling that process evil shows you have no understanding of the real world

St jude has plenty of money and they dont patent anything and if they do its to protect it from money hungry thieves. In fact they share their findings openly and even internationally because they actually care about saving lives. There is zero reason that life saving medications, and vaccines that protect society should cost anyone unreasonable amounts of money.

Ok so yes you don’t understand how anything works. St Jude is a hospital that runs on support/donations. Drug discovery is a completely different thing that costs on average 2 billion dollars for a single drug. Who are you expecting to pay for that?

Sometimes it is done with good intentions. Like that guy who patented insulin and sold the patent for one dollar. He said insulin does not belong to me, it belongs to the world. Now it is the gold standard of why big pharma is evil
