The phone itself is pretty, the case gets in the way of the side touch function thingie and I’m curious if I’d find it handy, phone fits nicer in my pocket without a case, it’s also just something new and different

I mean those all sound like fair reasons and if those are enough to make your decision go for it. However I would argue these few things if I may as a fellow clumsy iPhone owner I believe pretty won’t matter much when the screen is shattered, which will happen regardless of protector and I could count on my fingers the number of times I’ve used the side touch function unironically

Also, I’m not sure how you weigh it, but I find a nice grippy case more handy than risking dropping it, and the inconvenience of lost pocket space far outweighed by value of my device and my desire to protect it for continued use

I got the 17 and was worried about the same thing bc the color (sage) is so pretty. I’m pretty clumsy too so I found a case that was the same color and had a unique design and it makes the phone so much prettier. Definitely get a case.
