I said agree but ALL politicians do that. None of them are our friends. Atleast the dems do it in a way that atleast pretends to lend to equality instead of spouting prejudice all the time.

Somewhat, they do seem to capitalize but they also sometimes have a point.

I mean, democratic politicians spend their careers talking about “uplifting marginalized voices” and then do police militarization, build massive ICE camps (kids in cages began under Obama), take a ton of money from AIPAC and billionaires

Then when they retire from politics they make tens of millions writing books, getting cushy merchandise and speaking deals, building a brand

Politicians are just celebrities, democratic politicians get big careers talking about DEI helping immigrants but then just expand mass incarceration, increase ICE funding, police funding/militarization

The loudest voices tend to become the face of the whole party. It’s easy to promote a political narrative when people go out and do all the shit they think Rs or Ds do Imo, pretending is worse than the act itself bc wdym the person I thought was my friend is really my enemy? It’s easy to focus on one or two people doing the most egregious acts and slap that label on the whole party

Id rather the narrative be love than hate. The storytellers can lie all they want but that doesnt mean the people listening are liars. They build community whether its community theyre actually apart of or not
