For a while during the Spring of my freshman year of college I was doing a Java Monster every morning for breakfast and an Orange Dreamsicle Reign every day for lunch, sometimes with another for dinner or a coffee in the afternoon. Decided to totally cut caffeine after I went home for Summer Break and was having withdrawals.
Oh my god I’m sure!! That’s crazy. I honestly don’t use caffeine much but I would get super behind on school work and would stay up literally 36 hours at a time finishing stuff like once a trimester or so. But this was in high school and I was in an associates program + regular hs classes so I was stressed always😂
I typically find that caffeine doesn’t actually help me stay awake, it was always more of just a routine/placebo thing (and I just liked the drinks). Nowadays I think going for a short walk or jog is way more effective at making me feel energized at night. Side note, where are you from that has trimesters instead of semesters?
Idaho🥔 however I only had trimesters when I was in high school. My associates program (that I finished as a HS senior) and my undergrad were semesters. So that made things a bit confusing, one program was tris the other sems. But I did online HS my soph, junior, and senior year— and ended up procrastinating the trimester into the last 3 weeks. Hence the overnighters 🤪🫠
Caffiene definitely is mostly placebo for me too, cause I had undiagnosed ADHD and it would make me more tired tbh. Until the second redbull and I would be jittery. But to this day, ANY time I drink a redbull, I get an innate desire to do math or science— those were the classes I was behind in😂 I haven’t found a workaround for the ineffectiveness of caffeine. Walking around or jogging make me MORE tired within 10-20 minutes of my comedown 🙄
