There’s nothing you can do that will make her happy besides not going. That being said, it seems that you want to do this, so just going anyways is what’s best for you. No way to make both people happy here

Yeah but it just sucks constantly being a disappointment to her but I don’t want to stay in my boring state all my life. My entire life was school, home, work, maybe Walmart for fun then repeat. Traveling is the most freeing thing ever and she doesn’t understand that

I think she’s worried about you. I’m going ima trip with friends right now, and my mom asked me for my friend’s contact information in case she or my dad can’t get a hold of me. I don’t think her intentions come from a place of wanting to chain you down, she’s just worried of what she can do if something happens. Don’t equate what you are doing here as being the same as disappointing her
