
this is actually mainly because of homophobia and racism in the 80s. men were scared of dressing ‘too flamboyantly’ and being perceived as gay (or as a “pimp”). so men largely began to relegate themselves to gradually shrinking categories of clothing -until we get where we are today! with boring, uninspired outfits. the most interesting thing a guy can wear is a flannel. and that’s boring as hell
Agree completely with the flannels lol. It’s that or a sweater for men. I actually really liked some of the mono color flannels that Old Navy is selling rn, but ofc they don’t ship to Japan where I live 😭. Men need to realize that dressing presentably does not make anyone gay, it means you care about your appearance and you care to make a good impression
