You people are insane. You vote but you don’t follow the news? Really? I knew there would be a lot of people only following one side of the news, but to not even pay attention to what’s going on and then thinking you should get a say in it is absurd. Even if you only follow the news when the election is coming up or you just look into it once a month, that’s ok, but if you don’t know what your voting for, don’t vote. Before voting, you should be able to explain both candidates views on 3 issues.

News doesn’t have sides.

This isn't really true unfortunately as much as I wish it did. For example, if you read about Fox News and how they work, they consistently spread misinfo and often have a major right-wing bent

Just because they have “News” in the name doesn’t make them news.

Ah okay, I see what you are trying to say. I agree with you that reputable news tries their best to be impartial

No - reputable news is factual and comprehensive. That doesn’t suggest impartiality.

I know, what I mean by trying to be impartial is like you said, they are reporting facts and trying to be comprehensive in both the details of the news they cover and covering as much as they can. I agree with you on this

I was going to argue with you on this, saying "the question and answers are just phrased poorly, not enough character space on YikYak", which might be partially true... but, a few hours ago I saw another similar question elsewhere, where over 20 people voted "I don't care about politics". This is a serious, national issue (like 1/3 of the nation didn't vote in 2024 right?), and I don't know how we can wake people tf up...
