Only time I EVER tip, is if it’s a sit down restaurant and there is some level of service involved. IE, my local burrito place will hand deliver burrito’s to your table after you order. Otherwise it’s just the tip jar at a pizza place when you pickup your pizza, unused and unwanted.

I only tip my barber and my waiter. They have to be giving me a service for me to even consider tipping, and handing me my food across a counter doesn’t count.

they’re not saying they don’t tip waiters, they’re saying tip culture is awful which it is. if waiting staff made a livable wage, they wouldn’t have to rely on the generosity of strangers to pay their rent, and then tipping could be a happy additional bonus. plus in this context, tipping rlly is stupid bc front of house staff/fast food workers do at least make min wage (even though it’s still not enough)
