AFAB people, did your mother teach you about your period (how to handle it, how to manage pain, what’s normal, etc.) or were you left to figure it out on your own more or less?
My school had a mini seminar, so my mother didn’t need to do much other than supply pads when asked to buy more

Neither, mom tried to tell me about it and I would scream lol. Period came and I hid it for two months till my mom saw my bloody underwear. (I voted mother taught me though because she tried)

my mom pretty much just showed me how to use pads and tampons but i already knew everything cuz i want chronically online so i mostly just figured the rest out on my own

School taught me about periods, mom taught me abt the dos and don’t of sex and my period first came when my mom was out of town so my big sister helped me bc i wasn’t asking my dad
