Definitely movie industry. Historically in the music industry all you needed was talent, and the music speaks for itself, and those who like you will listen. In Hollywood, it takes a lot more specific individuals liking you in order for you to be pushed into the spotlight.

I wonder if it boils down to whether you know more about what’s happened in movies or music. Personally I’ve just gotten into hollywood lore but nothing yet has beaten music’s 27 club

i mean idk if id say the 27 club has anything to do with corruption so much as famous musicians living high-risk lifestyles compared to the general population. looking at hollywood especially in the 20th century i think you see a lot more really terrible institutional practices that had horrible effects on female and child actors
