Do you think stores have to be size inclusive? (carry both the smaller and biggest sizes)

It’s not a requirement but you (the customer) can always refuse to shop at places that won’t carry your size (especially if they’ll carry it online but not instore. Diabolical)

*asking because ik theres discourse around Brandy Melville not carrying larger sizes. I don’t get the hype surrounding Brandy anyways but I don’t think it’s wrong for them to cater to smaller sizes-like the stores/brands catering to bigger ones

I think it’s always in the brands best interest to be inclusive, but I don’t think it should be a requirement. I think it’s unfair when they carry small sizes in store but plus sizes only online, so I think they need to be clear of their range

they don’t have to be but it would be pretty nice if they were. i’m sure people would pay good money for clothes in their size.

I do wish that all stores would carry bare minimum up to 2x. 3x would be even more ideal, but I know that’s borderline to request *all* stores to do that though. What drives me way crazier than a brand just not being size inclusive though is a brand that pretends to be size inclusive. Like I’ve seen so many brands that only carry up to XL have models that are obviously way bigger than XL and I hate that. They use fat people to sell clothes without selling clothes to fat people.

Costco never has anything in a small. Even the customers are all oversized, apparently

That’s fine it’s just that there’s only like? Maybe two brands that actually have physical locations that cater specifically to plus sizes. Torrid and lane Bryant. And Torrid actually discontinued their largest sizes but added two on the smaller end.

I don’t think that’s Brandy’s issue though. Now, their sizes do run a little bigger. Ik they started off as super small. It would be nice if they were more size inclusive but I don’t think they should have to be, especially if it’s a brand meant for people who are a lot smaller.

Brandy I would say doesn’t even fit this scenario. They’re just one size. Like if you’re too big or small you’re not gonna fit it which I think is just dumb. Also I watched the doc about it when they were smaller and that brand is actually so disturbing. The owner and background is very… rich man likes small teen girls sexually and thinks the not skinny ones are disgusting

By smaller I mean smaller as in not such a big bran and smaller as in the one size was smaller

I don’t like Brandy anyways. More than $5 for a plain white tank is just laughable

Btw, this is coming from someone who now wears a medium but who used to wear 2x/3x. Even though I can technically shop most places now, I try to avoid stores that aren’t size inclusive at all or stores that pretend to be since I remember what it’s like (and it sucks that the world isn’t built with fat people in mind).

I honestly think costco just sells out of smalls faster most of the time, and they order things much further in advance so they can’t restock easily. My store usually at least carries small
