For your own mental wellbeing or enjoyment, positive. In any government, negative.

Most of the major religions disproportionately put more expectations/rules on women in their religion vs on the men. I dont like religions that tell a woman she has to cover up or hide her “sinful” skin to not “tempt” the men. That basically sums her up as an object. I dont think your morality/ethics/values should be directed or dictated by a religion. You should simply do good because it is the good thing to do and because you want to be good. Many hide behind religion or use it as a weapon.

Yeah i feel like inherently religion is not a negative thing. But it turns into that when it comes to some ppl who practice the religion and try using it to harm others or control others.

They really aren’t. People have debated ethical questions since long before Christianity existed, and plenty of the worst things humans have ever done to each other (slavery, colonialism, genocide) were explicitly endorsed by Christianity. Plenty of very good people have done very good things while being christian or in the name of Christianity as well. But the world is big and religiously diverse, and Christians are very diverse in their moral beliefs
