It is never beneficial there are other ways to correct behavior stop giving people excuses to justify beating kids

I never learned the lesson, because I was never a bad kid. They beat me over mistakes or me struggling in school. It just taught me fear and later on hatred. There are ways to discipline without being aggressive and physical. If anything beating children seems more like a power complex to me and shows the character of the parents VERY well. Those aren’t good people.

Exactly, I don’t necessarily blame all the parents who do it though since they most of the time don’t know better but still it shouldn’t be taught that way at all in the first place

As a grown adult you absolutely know better than to hit a child especially in the US. Free public ed and social standards means there is 100% 0 excuse regardless of how you personally were raised there are very few cases where someone MIGHT not know better to the point that its negligible

Refusing to hold people accountable is why the issue doesnt go away. CPS is a joke, the systems associated are a joke, and parents dont face consequences for abuse

I think they should still be held accountable but I think a portion of them are just not thinking and doing what their parents did to them, it’s a chain that’s hard to break and people get frustrated and overwhelmed Very much still an issue that needs to be solved though I want to make that clear
